12-part shortform series centres on exclusive interviews with Tiger Woods
Discovery has unveiled a 12 x 10-minute Tiger Woods masterclass doc series for GOLFTV called My Game: Tiger Woods – which is available exclusively through the platform.
The series, which was first announced by Broadcast Sport in June, features in-depth interviews with Tiger Woods sharing insights into his approach, technique and how his game and training patterns have evolved over the years. During the episodes he reveals his thoughts on everything from his childhood and mental approach to his driving and putting.
Discovery says the series is a “first of its kind for the global sporting icon” and offers fans “unparalleled access to one of the sport’s true greats.”
Episode one of My Game: Tiger Woods is available now on GOLFTV internationally and Golf Digest Schools in the US. The episode – My Practice – sees Woods explain his journey to reach the pinnacle of the sport, as well as the unique approach he takes to manage his game today, from pre-round mental preparation to his detailed putting practice.
Woods talks candidly throughout, including about his injury management and how his practice routines have evolved as his family life has taken precedence.
The next episode in the series – My Driving Secrets – will see Woods explain the two big principles his father taught him that enabled him to swing as hard as he could and drive the ball with such distance and accuracy off the tee.
New 10-minute episodes will be released each week, covering approach play, short game, putting, recovery shots, strength and conditioning, equipment choices and course management skills.
Woods said: “The My Game series provides a total golf lesson that no one has had before. My approach has evolved over the years, but the fundamentals my dad taught me have remained the same. This is my first complete guide on how I think and prepare for every shot, every hole and every round. I hope the advice I share will help all players in how they think about and enjoy the game.”
