MediaCityUK last week opened its doors for business, with Saturday night entertainment show Don’t Scare the Hare the first show to be recorded in the facility’s studios.

Production for the nine-part series is taking place in HQ1, the largest of MediaCityUK’s seven HD studios, which are operated through a joint venture between Peel Media and SIS.

Head of studios at MediaCityUK, Andy Waters, said: “It’s fantastic that we can mark the opening of the studios with the filming of an inventive new programme such as Don’t Scare the Hare.

“The studios offer an enhanced range of production and technical services suited for this type of show and we are excited to see the finished result.”
