As a result, director and former general manager Rob Kelly will become director of business development.
Kelly said: “We wanted someone of Dan's calibre to head the business as we plan to go into new markets as well as invest in new technology and kit.” Gable's experience as a dubbing mixer also ties in with the company's expertise in sound.
Gable added: “Although Breathe is a relatively new name in the industry, it is winning work across lots of genres. Based in Shoreditch and Hampstead, it is competitively priced too - which is important in today's climate.”
The company had been in talks with Gable for a month.
Breathe doubled its facilities offering in January last year and now has seven offline Avid suites, an Adrenaline and Symphony Nitris, Final Cut Pro and Color grading facilities. It also has six surround sound dub suites.
Breathe is a division of the Air group which comprises Air Studios, Strongroom, Breathe Post and Strong Hire as well as a games division and Air management.
