Escape Studios has added video editing equipment to its technology sales portfolio after being awarded Avid authorised reseller status.

Predominantly known for its graphics and effects training courses, the West London-based company also sells software and hardware from the likes of Autodesk, Iridas and Boxx to visual effects companies.

By becoming an accredited Avid dealer, the company can now extend its sales and support offering so that it also includes video editing products.

Commercial director Mark Cass said: “We’re now seeing smaller VFX start-ups wanting to do their editing in-house. They often rely on resellers to provide support and technical services, which is where we come in. We want to build a relationship with these people that goes beyond VFX and is not just about box shifting.”

Escape will offer the full Avid range, predominantly focusing on companies in Soho.
