Bruce Dunlop & Associates (BD&A) continues its expansion with the appointment of an international sales manager just months ahead of opening a Singapore office, writes Barbara Marshall.

Nishat Sattar, who joins from Novocom Europe where she was managing director, will be based in London but is charged with expanding the design business throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. BD&A has already produced pan-European campaigns for Ford, as well as working in several different languages for international broadcasters Hallmark World and Discovery.

Sattar rejoins her former boss, BD&A commercial director Martin Poole, who was managing director of Novocom Europe until May 1999. While at Novocom, Poole appointed Sattar who later replaced him when he moved to BBC Resources. Poole joined BD&A a year later ( Broadcast, 16.6.00).

BD&A is also finalising plans to establish itself in Singapore and according to Poole, the new office should be operational by the end of the year. The firm has already set up an Australian base which, having grown to seven people in nine months, is doing 'better than expected'.

The business has grown rapidly in the three years since Aussie founder Bruce Dunlop set it up.
