Dock10 has appointed Brian Hardman to the newly created role of head of broadcast operations for post production.

Hardman joins the MediaCityUK facilities firm from The Farm North where he worked as director of operations since 2012.

Hardman will focus on technology and operational matters and report into head of post production Paul Austin.

Austin said: “We are delighted that Brian will be joining us at this exciting time in our development. It is imperative that we continue to offer technical and operational excellence to our clients and there is no one better than Brian to ensure that we achieve that.”

Prior to his role at The Farm Hardman was technology director at Manchester facility Sumners.

Hardman added: “I could not be more proud of what I have helped The Farm achieve over the past 4 years within BBC North, where we have developed and managed a team of over 60 people – but the opportunity to get back to the forefront of post production in a broader role is one that I look forward to immensely.

“I am delighted to be joining several friends and former colleagues in the talented dock10 team, who are doing some amazing and innovative work at the heart of MediaCityUK.”
