The organisers of Digital Media World (DMW) and the London Effects and Animation Festival (Leaf) have hit back at critics following the launch of the rival Digital Arts Festival three weeks ago (Broadcast, 7.6.02).

They claim more than 2,000 attendees are already registered for DMW/Leaf and point to the number of companies that have agreed to participate. Sessions will include a day dedicated to the effects in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones as well as the first UK viewing of the trailer for the second Lord of the Rings film, The Two Towers.
