Commercials post house Cut & Run has finished work on the new O2 ad by Daniel Barber at Rose Hackney Barber (RHB). Editor Steve Gandolf and assistant Charlie Caselton used DV Express while on location and claim the system has revolutionised the editing process, letting director and editor work closely during a shoot. It also meant the agency producer was able to bring back a completed film, ready for post. The package allowed them to take a composite feed from the monitor while shooting was in progress, so Gandolf had footage organised in a bin straight after Barber stopped shooting and could start cutting and selecting shots. Barber was also able to see which shots were working and which ones were weak. Agency VCCP could see work in progress via DV cam, Mini DV or CD.
