The Sydney HQ of audio console manufacturer Fairlight has been put into administration after failing to meet ongoing financial obligations. Of the seven company offices only the Australian branch is affected so far, but administrator Giles Woodgate revealed that there are "significant company debts". However, the company has been in trouble several times during its 28-year history and survived. General manager Greg Sampson said work is being done to "obtain funding from a secondary source. I'm as busy as a one- legged man in an arse-kicking competition." Several parties are thought to be interested in buying the company and its assets.
