Brief: To create 30-second shorts capturing the essence of football and its realisation through HD.

How it was done: Smoke and Mirrors combined 3D, 2D and live action shots. Players were rotoscoped out of an original shot for 3D work in order to create pixel streams and to allow the light FX and trails to be created in 2D. The images were then enhanced with the addition of 3D water droplets and effects such as pollen rising.
