Brief Provide picture and audio post services for the second series of the comedy show.
How it was done Series director Richard Pengelly and colourist Nick Adams were inspired by a wide variety of themes, from The Towering Inferno to Scandinavian crime shows. Using Baselight, Adams translated these to the modern-day tales. Offline editor Mark Sangster added a few sound effects before dubbing mixer Richard Ashley’s mix. One of Ashley’s FX included creating the ambience of St Peter’s Gate and heaven and hell, which featured an out-of-this-world effect. The animation sequences provided a creative blank canvas and required a variety of different FX. Ashley used Pro Tools to mix the series. The series was onlined in Avid Symphony by editor Yiorgos Loizou.
