The management team at Coffee & TV’s Bristol facility have completed a buy-out of the regional hub and have re-named it as Moonraker VFX.
Creative director Simon Clarke and production director Jon Grafton, who completed the MBO, now plan to “invest heavily in talent and technology” while “maintaining a bespoke and exemplary experience for clients.”
The company will continue to work from the same Bristol studio in Clifton and will use the same effects artists.
Grafton said the company would also be “continuing a very close relationship with the Coffee & TV team in London.”
Moonraker is currently working on projects for National Geographic, BBC, Smithsonian, Sky, History Channel, Amazon and Netflix.
It recently won an RTS West of England award for Best Visual Effects for its work on Offspring Films’ Cats: An Amazing Animal Family for Sky One (pictured).
