Newman Street-based authoring and duplication company Click Content Distribution Ltd appointed insolvency practitioners Marriotts LLP on 5 August 2008.

A creditors meeting has been arranged for 20 August 2008 and all creditors have been informed.

The 20-strong operation is the latest mid-sized company to run into difficulties following a difficult six months for the facilities sector.

Click Content Distribution, which also traded as Click DVD, was initially a subsidiary of Suite post-production before it set up as a standalone company last November.

It expanded its operation to incorporate both DVD facility Figment Media, headed by Andrew Huffer, and TV Set's DVD arm. Huffer became general manager of Click.

The directors of Click Content Distribution are Suite chairman Julian Aston, Dave Thompson of 2D Video Facilities and the founder of Component, Jeff Firth. The company secretary is 2D's Terry Bettles.

At the time of going to press, Broadcast was unable to verify the reasons for the appointment of Marriotts.

Bettles, Thompson and Aston were unavailable for comment.

2D Video Facilities, which traded as TV Set and was also owned by Bettles and Thompson, was put into administration last month.
