Chyron will use September’s IBC exhibition in Amsterdam to showcase its cloud-based on-demand graphics production technology Axis.
The innovation allows the production and management of graphics, maps and charts using tools made available via an Internet connection and a Web browser.
Alongside broadcast work, the technology can be used for repurposing graphics for newspapers, mobile and digital media content.
“Axis enables you to create in the cloud, reduce costs and collaborate with ease, anytime or anywhere,” the company said.
The proprietary web-based technology was included in the deal that saw Axis Graphics acquired by Chyron in 2008.
Also on show at IBC will be version 8 of the creation and playback software Lyric PRO which will feature tools for creating “true” stereoscopic 3D graphics.
Chryon will exhibit on stand 7.D11.
IBC 2010 takes place 10-14 September at the RAI centre in Amsterdam.
