Features prominent figures from the indie sector, politician and trade bodies
In response to the DCMS consultation launched in the summer, Broadcast launched Not 4 Sale, which was motivated by the fundamental lack of evidence to support the government’s view that C4’s sustainability is materially challenged under its current ownership model and remit.
In contrast, Broadcast considers that a private owner with a watered-down remit and the ability to produce programmes in-house would disrupt the PSB ecology and prove detrimental for audiences.
