Turner Broadcasting's Cartoon Network is gearing up for the launch of a broadband TV service to be called SuperCartoonNetwork.co.uk.

From September users will be able to download programmes including Xiaolin Showdown, Ben 10and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, which will be updated daily. Archived episodes of the channel's cartoons such as Scooby Doowill also be available.

Users can pay for content through a monthly or yearly subscription or on a pay-per-view basis. A price guide for the service has not yet been confirmed.

Digital rights company Premium TV is providing the broadband platform for Turner as part of a two-year deal, and will oversee the encoding of content, consumer delivery and design package.

The service will mark Cartoon Network's first step into bespoke broadband content.
