Canon has released the first firmware upgrade for its XF205 camcorder, which improves the camera’s noise ratio in low-light conditions.

An additional firmware update, which is expected to be available from late June, will also enable the XF205 to stream video footage over IP networks and allow the camcorder to work with Fujitsu’s video transmission equipment: the Fujitsu Network IP-900IID and IP-920D HD/SD Compact Video Decoders.
