Canon has announced a new compact cine-servo lens, a C-Log upgrade for its 5D camera and additional firmware for three professional monitors.
The compact cine-servo lens is the CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S. Designed for use with large-format, single-sensor cameras, it has a focal length of 70-200mm in the Super 35 image circle.
It follows on from the launch of the CN-E18-80mm in 2016 and completes Canon’s compact cine-servo lens line-up.
At the same time, Canon is making it possible to add Canon C-Log to the EOS 5D camera. C-Log provides improved dynamic range and simplifies colour grading
A firmware upgrade has also been announced for three Canon professional 4K displays, the DP-V1710, DP-V2410 and DP-V2420.
The update allows 4K RAW video captured on the C700 or C700 GS PL to be viewed directly on the display using a 3G-SDI cable, without the need for any external intermediary devices.
