Calrec acquired by private equity firm

Electra said that Calrec will now become a sister company to Allen & Heath, another console manufacturer which it acquired last year.

Electra Partners chief investment partner Alex Fortescue said: “The acquisition of Calrec now shows the benefits of this approach and both companies are well placed to accelerate growth as a result.”

Established in 1964, Calrec designs and manufactures audio mixing consoles for TV and radio.

Its clients include the BBC, Sky and Al Jazeera.
