Channel 5 is among the latest batch of companies to become fee-paying members of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP).
The Viacom-owned broadcaster joins funding broadcasters BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and member BT Sport, while talks with Sky are believed to be ongoing.
Other new recruits to the DPP include post facilities Envy, Dock 10, The Edit Store and OutPost, as well as vendors Ericsson, Sony, Sohonet, Tektronix, Pebble Beach, Tedial, Metaglue and Screenocean.
These new members join Aspera, ERA, Interra, Signiant, Vidcheck, The Farm and 422.tv, which all became members of the DPP when it became a not-for-profit membership organisation last month.
At a launch event on Wednesday this week, the DPP set out its roadmap for the rest of the year, including the definition of a UK delivery standard for Ultra HD programmes, a common delivery specification for HD commercials, promos and interstitials, and a guide to archiving digital content, including archiving standards.
