Channel 4 has launched a mobile phone gaming service through 4Interactive, entering a Eu100m (£70m) market. Games are downloaded through the C4 website for£4.50 each. Research has suggested that the downloadable Java games market could generate revenues of up to $2bn (£1.08bn) by 2008. C4 has teamed up with European digital media company Buongiorno which holds licensed game and music content for mobile phones.
