Arena Television and Telegenic have been awarded the contracts to provide outside broadcast facilities for BT Sport’s coverage of top-flight English football and rugby union matches.
Redhill-based Arena will provide facilities for the English Premier League (EPL), working on a minimum of 38 EPL matches with the majority kicking off on Saturdays at 12:45pm.
The contract begins in August and lasts for three seasons. All matches will be shot in HD.
At the same time, Telegenic has been handed the contract to provide OB facilities for BT Sport’s coverage of Aviva Premiership Rugby. This contract covers 69 live matches - including the final - and will last for four seasons.
Both providers will work with BT’s production partner Sunset+Vine.
Contracts will also be awarded for coverage of Scottish Premier League (SPL), the FA Cup and the Europa League football.
In the most recent non-Sky Sports related OB deal, ESPN’s football was facilitated by SIS LIVE with Arena covering Premiership rugby.
