Broadcaster strikes new three year deal with rights holders BSI Speedway
BT Sport has retained the rights to the FIM Speedway World Championships presented by Monster Energy in the UK and Ireland for the next three seasons.
The broadcaster has reached a new agreement with rights holders BSI Speedway – an IMG company. The deal means it will show every round of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series and Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations up to and including the 2021 season.
BSI Speedway managing director Torben Olsen said: “[BT Sport’s] coverage of the racing, presented by a true speedway fan in Natalie Quirk, continues to be first rate.”
2019 action will begin on Saturday 4 May with Race Off 1 of the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations.
BT Sport also holds exclusive rights to the Speedway UK league competition SGB Premiership.
