Red Bee Media has inked a deal to supply BT Sport with access and metadata services.

The arrangement builds on a previous deal between the two companies for Red Bee to provide playout, channel and media management services for BT Sport, which launched last week.

Red Bee Media will provide live and pre-recorded subtitling and audio description services along with rich metadata services and 3D sports analysis software Piero.

BT Sport chief operating officer Jamie Hindhaugh said: “We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Red Bee Media having already chosen them to deliver vitally important playout services and having helped us design the BT Sport on-air identity.”

The BT Sport logo, which was unveiled in February, was also designed in partnership with Red Bee Media.
