Amazon Prime Video detective series heads out internationally
Samsung TV Plus in the UK, Polar+ in France and SBS in Australia are among companies to have picked up rights to Prime Video’s crime drama Bosch.
All seven seasons of the show will become available on Samsung TV Plus in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while Kan in Israel has also picked up the drama in its entirety.
The show’s first three series, totalling 68 episodes, have been acquired by Canal+ Group for its Polar+ network and SBS in Australia.
Bosch is sold by Seven. One Studios International and was originally produced for Prime Video by Henrik Bastin’s US-based Fabrik Entertainment, which had been part of Seven. One predecessor Red Arrow Studios. Red Arrow’s North American assets were acquired by Peter Chernin’s The North Road in 2022.
Other Seven. One sales have seen Vienna Blood’s fourth series picked up by Mediawan Rights for French-speaking Europe, RTP in Portugal, Spain’s Movistar, TV4 in Sweden and Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel across CEE.
The show, from MR Films and the now-defunct Endor Productions, has also been acquired by DR in Denmark and SBS in Australia, the latter of which has also picked up all three series of conspiracy thriller Departure.
Elsewhere, Talpa TV in the Netherlands has acquired psychological drama Plan B and ABC Australia has acquired the second series of Kiwi comedy Double Parked, with TV Galicia in Spain among buyers of the first run.
