The former managing directors of two Soho post companies have teamed up to create a new business that will provide training courses specifically for the creative industries.
David Brady, previously of talent and training company Soho Editors, and Dan Gable, once of Resolution and most recently at Air Post, are the major shareholders in a new venture called The Bridge.
It is expected to be the first of several media-related projects and investments that will be overseen by Gable and Brady.
Based at a purpose-built centre in Hackney Wick overlooking the 2012 Olympic Village, The Bridge will provide both scheduled and bespoke courses in graphics, editing, camera and audio, as well as business and management.
All teaching will be delivered by current practitioners, while regular Bridge Club meetings will help to inform training requirements.
“Our USP is that link to industry,” Gable told Broadcast. “In order to become the ‘go to’ place for the creative industries we will be open and approachable and provide relevant training that bridges the gap between education
and employment.”
Other shareholders include head of training Jamie McAllister, Natalie Brady, who will look after day-to-day operations, and former Skillset London manager Triston Wallace, who will work on public sector and other business development opportunities.
