BBC Technology will design and build studio and production facilities in Athens for this year's Olympic Games. The facilities, which will be used by BBC sport, BBC interactive, BBC news and BBC nations & regions, include two production control rooms, two sound control rooms, nine VT edit pairs, six non-linear edit suites, 15 VTR record banks, as well as graphics and office areas. The 999sq m area is within the purpose-built 130,000sq m International Broadcast Centre (Broadcast, 16.1.04). Installation starts in June for the Games which run between 13 and 29 August.
