Second series of Lookout Point’s period drama airs this spring
Sally Wainwright has penned a further eight episodes of the historical drama series for BBC1, in co-production with HBO, as Suranne Jones returns as lesbian landowner Anne Lister.
The second series focuses on Lister’s relationship with her now wife Ann Walker (Sophie Rundle) as the pair set up home together at Shibden Hall, determined to combine their estates and become a power couple.
It was recommissioned for the BBC by director of content Charlotte Moore and drama controller Piers Wenger. Wainwright will continue to exec produce along with the BBC’s Ben Irving and Les Misérables indie Lookout’s Faith Penhale and Laura Lankester.
