Element Pictures’ adaptation of Sally Rooney’s debut novel set for BBC3 this spring
The story of a 21 year old college student as she navigates a series of relationships is the focus of this 12 x 30-minute drama series from Normal People producers Element Pictures.
Commissioned by BBC director of drama Piers Wenger and BBC3 controller Fiona Campbell, the series features emerging talent Alison Oliver, alongside Sasha Lane (American Honey, The Miseducation Of Cameron Post), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk) and Jemima Kirke (Sex Education, Girls).
The series has been co-financed by Northern Ireland Screen and will also air on Hulu and RTÉ. It is scheduled to air on BBC3 this spring.
