BVE: The BBC has revealed extra details of its plans for Super Hi-Vision screenings of the London 2012 Olympics.
Speaking at the Beyond HD: Super Hi-Vision at London 2012 session, BBC R&D’s John Zubrzycki said the 50ft screens in Bradford, Glasgow and London would expand on last year’s proof-of-principle trials.
The screens will show pre-games programming for five days from 23 July.
During the games, between 28 July and 12 August, Olympics shows will be screened every hour from 12-6pm.
The shows will be free but ticketed.
