BBC Broadcast has been signed up by the National Geographic Channel to provide it with access services for the next five years. The contract will cover National Geographic's subtitling and audio description com-mitments as set down by Ofcom last summer. BBC Broadcast will provide the services that cater for the visually impaired and hard of hearing for both the National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Channel +1. The price of the deal was not disclosed. BBC Broadcast is to be sold to an Australian consortium led by Macquarie Capital Alliance Group for£166m.
