Ascent Media senior vice president of sales David Barrett is leaving the company to ‘pursue other opportunities.’
He will be replaced by EMEA vice president of business development Chris Kidd who will combine his current role with Barrett’s duties.
Currently on gardening leave, Barrett was promoted to his most recent role in March. He spent 15 years at the company during two spells.
Details of his next job have not been revealed but a spokesperson for Ascent Media was quick to point out that ‘the split is amicable and he is not going to a competitor.”
Barrett returned to Ascent Media in 2006 and was instrumental in a restructure of the company that saw a number of its facilities merge and their services re-organised across the group.
