Brief
Post-production, including VFX, on a one-off drama about the life of Dame Barbara Windsor.

How it was done
Encore’s VFX team completed 90 shots for the series using Flame and Nuke. This included removing modern road markings, cars and buses as well as satellite dishes and aerials. Encore also brought the Kray twins together on screen, both played by actor Rob Compton. Sister firm Rushes provided crowd simulation shots. Senior colourist Paul Staples graded the series using Digital Vision Nucoda. Re-recording mixer Mathew Knights and the sound team designed the audio to give a sense of Windsor’s emotions and thoughts. For example, as she processes the past through a manifestation of her father, the dialogue is played subtly from all the speakers in the 5.1 array to make it sound ethereal.
