IBC 2016: Axon Digital Design showcased additions to its Synapse 4K range of signal processing products.

It has introduced the BPU01 and BPU02 I/O panels, which enable conversion to and from 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s which Axon said would make it possible to use 12Gb/s 4K/UHDTV monitors to check and trouble shoot source signals before they are incorporated into an IP stream.

Also, Axon’s Cerebrum control and monitoring software now features greater third party product integration due to the addition of 15 new protocols from manufacturers such as Blackmagic Design, Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Panasonic and Sony.

Further Cerebrum enhancements include the introduction of a new 42 button compact LCD panel, the CCP-4200B.

Developed in conjunction with CTV Outside Broadcast, the panel is designed to make light work of complex multiple camera projects. It was used during the 2016 Open Golf Championship in Scotland (pictured) in conjunction with two Cerebrum systems.
