IBC 2013: Autodesk is to make its software available as monthly, quarterly and annual packages.

The payment options for Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Maya LT are in addition to traditional licences.

Users who choose the rental plans will receive similar benefi ts to Autodesk subscription customers.

“We expect rental plans to be attractive across all the industries we serve, especially for freelancers, start-ups or businesses that are project-based in nature,” said Autodesk senior vice president of industry strategy and marketing Andrew Anagnost.

The rental plans will be available from 16 September.
