Ascent Media has announced a deal with Carlton to provide transfer and restoration services on a catalogue of programmes being converted into HD for broadcast distribution purposes. The deal will use the new MTI correction system. Carlton's Fiona Maxwell said that the transfer to HD D5 "breathes new life into our catalogue. The clarity of colour and definition of the picture, further enhanced by the digital clean-up of the MTI box, make some of our older movies look as if they were shot yesterday."
