Arqiva has signed a deal with Bloomberg Television for the broadcaster to use one of its satellite newsgathering (SNG) trucks, including camera and production facilities.

Arqiva will also provide backhaul, satellite capacity, downlink and onpass capacity.

Malcolm Campbell, commercial director at Arqiva Broadcast and Media, said: “The SNG truck will be based in Brussels, enabling swift access to key European money markets including Switzerland, France, Germany and the UK.

“Our ability to provide Bloomberg Television with dedicated SNG services, supported by a proven international infrastructure, gives the broadcaster complete flexibility and confidence for the delivery of live and recorded news feeds from all across Europe.”

Arqiva has 100 earth stations at multiple teleports. Existing customers include broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV and BSkyB, as well as independent radio groups.
