VIDEO: Angénieux has unveiled the first in a new series of anamorphic lenses.
The manufacturer said the lightweight Optimo 56-152mm 2S (2x squeeze) zoom lens (right) would lend a film-like dimensional character to images with lower distortion than typical anamorphic lenses.
Based on the optical design of the Optimo 28-76mm, the new lens features 320° focus rotation with more than 50 focus marks.
It weights 2.2kg and has a PL mount lens, with a PV mount available on request.
