Welsh broadcaster S4C is launching a catch up iPhone app for its on-demand service, Clic.
The free bilingual app, which goes live today, allows users to access S4C programmes on a catch up basis for up to 35 days after transmission.
It also offers live streaming of TV content as it appears on the channel, and two days of programme listing.
An iPad and iPod Touch version of the app is currently being developed and will be released in due course, the broadcaster said.
The website version of Clic has seen rapid growth over the last few months, with the first quarter of 2011 showing a 98% increase on 2010, with more than half a million visits in total.
S4C’s director of broadcast and distribution, Arshad Rasul, said: “Our on line on-demand service Clic is extremely popular and making it available via an iPhone app will further extend its appeal. It underlines once again S4C’s commitment to providing the best possible services for its audience. ”
The new app joins two previously created by S4C for children aged 7-13. Cyw includes stories, songs and games, while Stwnsh offers games.
