Dock10 has been awarded the contract to look after the content production arm at MediaCityUK’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) incubator The Landing, Broadcast understands.
The contract was retendered after the original anchor tenant, Andrew Sumner & Associates (known as Sumners), was wound up.
Dock10, which operates seven HD studios and the post facilities at MediaCityUK, fought off competition from the reformed Sumners, Flix and Timeline TV North to run a raft of edit suites.
The other anchor tenant at the digital media facility is Mediasmiths, which looks after the workflow centre.
Dock10 has received preferredsupplier status, but has yet to sign a contract and negotiations with Salford City Council are expected to take another week.
The tender was advertised at the start of the year as an initial three-year contract with a potential two-year extension.
Dock10, the joint venture between MediaCityUK developer Peel Group and SIS, declined to comment.
