Clear Cut picked up the prize for Best Post Production House at last night’s Broadcast Awards 2011, fighting off competition from five rivals.
The judges were unanimous in their decision to honour the west London post house, praising the facility for its “consistently high levels of creativity and quality” and “high levels of service”.
They also said Clear Cut had kept ahead of rivals with “new workflows and technology that matters to programme-makers”.
Bristol-based Films at 59 was highly commended while Envy, Halo, Molinare and Prime Focus were all nominated for the prize.
In other categories, multichannel broadcaster E4 scooped the coveted Channel of the Year prize, beating off stiff competition from the likes of terrestrials BBC1, ITV1 and Channel 4.
E4 comedy-drama Misfits won Best Multichannel and Best New Programme.
The event, which took place on 2 February at Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane, was attended by more than 1,200 people.
