Clear Cut Pictures has teamed up with Aframe to become the web-based video firm’s first UK upload partner.
Production firms will be able to use Clear Cut’s 100Mbps connection at its two London sites in Fitzrovia and Shepherd’s Bush to transfer footage to Aframe for services such as transcoding into H.264 web proxies for sharing and metadata tagging.
Aframe chief executive David Peto (pictured, left) said: “We want to give our customers the security of working with people we know and trust.
“Clear Cut has invested in its infrastructure, and for productions that want to work with full-res material, a fast connection is essential.”
Aframe launched in the US in April and now has seven upload partners in the country.
Peto said Aframe was also keen to sign up more certifi ed upload partners in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
