BBC1 daytime quiz Decimate is set to be remade in Spain after a local indie optioned the CPL format.
Spanish indie Veralia, which produces gameshows including DNA and The Spiderweb, has struck a deal with Red Arrow International, which represents the format.
The 25 x 45-minute series, which is yet to air, was originally commissioned earlier this summer and is being hosted by Shane Richie. It was created by Tipping Point creator Hugh Rycroft.
Contestants compete to win £20,000 jackpot which is reduced by 10% every time they give a wrong answer to a question.
Veralia, which produces Spanish versions of UK shows including The Cube, will now begin pitching to Spanish broadcasters and is looking to secure a similar daytime slot.
“Decimate is the perfect show for a daily slot in Spain, it is a tense and dynamic format that the whole family can enjoy,” said Veralia chief executive Carlo Boserman.
